Since welcoming its first residents in 2018, Babcock Ranch has experienced rapid growth. In the summer of 2020, it made it to the RCLCO Real Estate Advisors’ Top 50 list of the nation’s top-selling master-planned communities, ranking 39th. Just one year later, it's now 25th on the list.
The fledgling community is attracting new residents, and fast. It has surpassed 1,500 homes sold out of an anticipated 50,000 at build-out a couple of decades down the road, with more than 470 homes sold year-to-date in 2021. Sales surged by 61 percent for the first half of 2021, showing that a bold promise of environmental stewardship and high-technology, located in a nature-centric milieu, is in demand.
Nine national and regional homebuilders are at work in Phase One, which consists of seven neighborhoods and more than 50 home designs ranging from 1,120 square feet to more than 4,000 square feet, and priced from the $200,000s to more than $1.5 million. The neighborhood is centered around expansive Lake Babcock, the 18-hole Babcock National golf course and Founder’s Square, a town center with a general store, café, lakeside bandshell and boardwalk, children’s splash pad, a health center and more. New neighborhoods will be introduced later this year to meet buyer demand.
