Sarasota Memorial Health Care System has received a $25 million gift from the Gerald A. and Karen A. Kolschowsky Foundation.  The Kolschowskys' lrecent donation was the catalyst that allowed SMH to break ground on a new, $75 million Research and Education Institute this past June.

The William G. and Marie Selby Foundation has awarded a $100,000 grant to the Community Foundation of Sarasota County’s Season of Sharing Greatest Need Fund to advance the community-wide effort preventing vulnerable families from becoming homeless.

Artist Series Concerts of Sarasota recently received funding from six grant makers totaling $190,600 in support of its 2023-2024 concert season, educational outreach program, a rebranding project, and more. The grantors are the  Virginia B. Toulmin Foundation, The Exchange, Gulf Coast Community Foundation, Community Foundation of Sarasota County, Florida Department of State Division of Arts & Culture and Sarasota County.

Westcoast Black Theatre Troupe recently received a Strategic Partnership Grant of $45,000 from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. 

Family Promise of South Sarasota County (FPSSC) is excited to have received a $2,500 grant from Publix Super Markets Charities in support of FPSSC’s Bridge Housing and Open Doors Programs which include rent assistance, emergency shelter, emergency funds and diversion assistance.

 Resurrection House, Inc. has received a $9,788 grant from the Community Foundation of Sarasota County. The grant will fund the implementation and first-year support of an upgraded client management software solution called MissionTracker.
