Seven New-Home Neighborhoods Come to Babcock Ranch
With 550 homes sold and an additional 150 under contract as of July 1, 2020, it’s fair to say that building is well under way in the master-planned community of Babcock Ranch. Here’s a look at the seven distinct neighborhoods now under development:
Five notable builders are at work in Lake Timber, Babcock Ranch’s very first neighborhood: Florida Lifestyle Homes, Fox Premier Builders, WCI, Pulte Homes and Stock Classic Homes. Here, old-Florida vernacular architecture is the order of the day for the 185 single-family residences and 25 townhomes. The Lakehouse community center is here, as is Sunset Park, fishing piers on Lake Babcock, a playground, dog park and community garden. Homes range from the $200,000s to the $700,000s.
Edgewater by Pulte Homes is a neighborhood of 166 single-family homes ranging from approximately 1,400 to 2,800 square feet, priced from the low $200,000s to the mid $300,000s.
The aptly named Parkside by Pulte Homes will have 132 homes abutting a community park, near the Founder’s Square. Three- and four-bedroom single-family homes are offered, ranging from about 2,000 to 3,200 square feet and priced from the mid $200,000s to the low $300,000s.
Pulte Homes and Meritage Builders are at work in Lake Babcock, near Jack Peeples Park and Babcock Neighborhood School, with single-family one- and two-story homes priced from the mid $200,000s.
Lennar is building a mix of 1,150 condominiums and single-family residences in Babcock National. The centerpiece of the neighborhood is an 18-hole golf course designed by award-winning designer Gordon Lewis, along with a clubhouse, resort-style pool, fitness center and tennis courts. Homes range from smaller two-bedroom, two-bath, condos starting in the upper $100,000s to more luxurious three-bedroom, three-bath single-family homes in the $500,000s and $600,000s.
Trail’s Edge, another Lennar neighborhood, is in its first phase of development, with 180 home sites that will eventually contain executive, manor and villa homes. Several floor plans are available, ranging from approximately 1,400 to 3,800 square feet, priced from $200,000 to just under $400,000. Phase two will contain another 240 single-family homes and villas.
And finally, Lake Babcock Estates, as the name implies, is a neighborhood of custom single-family homes jutting into Lake Babcock. AR Homes by Arthur Rutenberg, Divco Custom Homes, Florida Lifestyle Homes and Stock Classic Homes are building here; with a wide variety of floor plans and prices that reach the $1.5 million range.
