The Bishop-Parker Foundation has named Wendy Deming as its first chief executive officer.

The Charles & Margery Barancik Foundation has expanded its staff by hiring food and nutrition innovator and 2023 Bush Fellow Omar Guevara-Soto for the new position of strategic initiatives officer.

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis recently appointed two Sarasota Memorial Health Care System leaders, Britt Riner and Jennifer Sweeney, to advisory councils that impact critical services provided throughout the state. Riner will serve on the Florida Interagency Coordinating Council for Infants and Toddlers and Sweeney will serve on the Florida Trauma System Advisory Council.

The Commercial Real Estate Alliance (CREA) of the Realtor Association of Sarasota and Manatee (RASM) installed the 2024 officers and directors. They are Ben Bakker, NDC Commercial Real Estate (president); Kyle Hembree, Hembree & Associates, Inc. (president-elect); Matt Fenske, SVN Commercial Advisory Group (vice president); Neil McCurry, Seacoast Bank (treasurer); and William Wilson, Florida First Capital Finance (past-president).
